Secure SMTP Configuration

This page deals with outgoing mail only. If you are getting a "Relaying Denied" message, this is where you need to be. This page does not apply to Webmail or to receiving mail.

SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is the method your computer uses to communicate with one of the Citadel Network mail servers. There will be a separate section in your email software for configuring SMTP. Following are instructions for configuring SMTP on the most common email clients.

In the following instructions, replace johndoe with your email username (the part of the email address before the @), and mycompany.com with your email domain (the part of the email address after the @).

NOTE: If your email domain is franklin.cnz.com, fayette.cnz.com, or rush.cnz.com, use cnz.com for the SMTP domain.
