Citadel Windows 95 Automatic Redial Setup Howto

Following are step-by-step instructions to configure Windows 95 to automatically redial when reconnecting to the Internet. The procedure as outlined is for Windows 95 OSR2.1, and may vary slightly for older versions of Windows 95. To determine the version of Windows 95 on your system, see our Windows 95 Version Howto.

1. Open My Computer.

Double-click the My Computer icon on your Windows 95 desktop.

2. Open Dial-Up Networking.

Double-click the Dial-Up Networking icon in your My Computer window. This will bring up the following window.

3. Set the auto-redial parameters.

Single left-click on Citadel Network to select this connection. Next left-click on Connections on the menu bar, then Settings.... This will bring up the following dialog box.

Check Redial, then set the number of times to try and the time to wait between tries to the suggested values shown above.

4. Done!.

Click OK to accept the new settings, then close any open windows.
